“Camp is kind of like school, except they don’t try to kill your creativity.”
Me thinks Riley needs a camp-like school Sept-June.
Hilarious. And yes, thank God for camp!!
She’s spot-on, as usual!
Brilliant. So young and yet, so wise.
camp is great for Moms and Kids.
I wanna go to camp.
I love camp. The right camp. I also love school. As long as it’s the right one.
I’m with Drama Mama: my schoolteachers always encouraged my creativity — it was the other kids who tried to squelch everyone’s individuality. And my daughter is lucky enough to go to the most fantastic school there ever was (and best of all, it’s a public school, so we don’t have to pay tuition!).
I wish everyone could go to good schools. *sigh*
so much wisdom under that hat! 😀
Me too Laura. Me too.
That’s as profound as it can be. Sad statement about school, though.
i picked hope up from her first day of camp yesterday and she said, “why are you here? we haven’t slept under the stars yet.”
I adore your children.
Love that. Haha!
i love camp
Beautiful! May all children have such feelings about camp–and may schools somehow get there, despite the terrible funding cutbacks.
