As an autism mom, and an RN (married to a hospital pharmacist), sometimes people ask me how I feel about vaccines. I used to stand on a soap box about it but that got maddening. It seemed few wanted to hear it. My anger about what I am aware of and also about people refusing to listen was affecting my health and interfering with my ability to actually parent my children.
I no longer think it is my responsibility to save the world. Autism and/or associated disorders might be very good for you on a spiritual level. Who am I to prevent that kind of growth? You and your child might have agreed upon this path before either of you set forth on this physical plane. What do I know? There is a lesson in A Course in Miracles that reads:
“I do not know what I’m looking at, so I must not judge what I see.”
I really try to follow that. Some days more successfully than others. It’s hard to keep my mouth shut when I see kids who are hurting and families in crises.
Of course, you might be one of the people who’s children seem to be just fine. Though those kiddos are fewer and harder to find these days. Autism(now one in 88 kids/one in 55 boys and climbing). Severe allergies. Severe Eczema. ADD. ADHD. OCD. Asthma. Diabetes. Seizures. Neurological tics. Anxiety disorders. PANS/PANDAS. Our children are over-vaccinated yet sicker than ever. Why is that?
Of course our food supply is a mess and our environment is polluted, so vaccines aren’t the only culprit, but in my opinion they are a big one. This opinion is supported by an increasing number of Western doctors and by every alternative medicine practitioner we’ve ever used, and there have been many.
I will post links here to things that ring true for me. Be informed and make up your own mind about what rings true for you. I’ll add as I go. Please don’t send me any vitriol from either side of the vaccine debate. I am not interested in it, and it will be deleted.
One thing I ask you to consider is why I would want to sway you either way? What is my motivation? What do I stand to gain? I am not a bitter parent looking for someone to blame for my child’s autism. Our daughter has been the biggest, most transformative blessing to us and at this point, we would not trade our experience. She still has challenges but overall she is currently doing well. I’m not going to make any money if you don’t follow the recommended vaccine schedule. I’m not an uneducated, irresponsible person who is clueless about epidemics. I just happen to have seen the charts which show childhood diseases were already well on decline before the introduction of vaccines. And from what I have read, the only cases of polio that have occurred since the vaccine was introduced were caused by the vaccine itself.
I read a lot.
So, if you’ve come here to learn, have at it. Keep an open mind, and go with your own gut. As parents it’s the most powerful thing we have. Whatever you decide, make your decisions from a place of power and not a place of fear. And remember if you are undecided, it is okay to wait. It’s okay to go low and slow. It’s okay to learn about the risks/benefits of each vaccine and to pick and choose. It’s okay to take your time. It’s okay to say no if vaccinating your child doesn’t feel right for you. You can always change your mind and do it, but if you do it you can never change your mind and go back.
It didn’t used to be the case, but these days the more educated the mother, the fewer vaccines a child receives.

The data has since “mysteriously” disappeared and the researcher who reported it later recanted and then went to work for Big Pharma. The secret Simpsonwood meeting is referred to in David Kirby’s book Evidence of Harm, linked above(Takes several seconds to load, but it comes up eventually).
“The numbers used in the U.S. to claim that the Salk vaccine caused a huge reduction in the number of cases of paralysis due to polio were manipulated by changing the criteria for diagnosing the disease.”
