Annoyingly good things my yoga teachers say…

“The way you do anything is the way you do everything.”

“If you create drama in your ab workout, where else do you create drama?”

“The pose begins, the moment you want to leave it.”

“It’s okay to be uncomfortable. It’s not going to kill you.”

“Think about raising the corners of your mouth.”

“When you move away from your core, that’s when you fall.”

“So what if you fall?”

“Come back to your breath.”

“Try again.”

    I like that……. I like it a lot.

Have to disagree with the first one. I do a lousy job of housecleaning, but I do an excellent job baking cookies. Really.

  3. Leah says:

Quite insightful! That must be why I feel so good after yoga.

Love it! I once had an instructor who repeated the mantra, “Breathe. Relax. Align.” It still sticks with me. Maybe because I took the class on the beach in Maui. Or maybe because it seems like a simple way to live my life.

  5. Carrie Link says:

The way you do anything IS the way you do everything, that’s so brilliant and true (and totally annoying).

  6. Fran says:

When I move away from my core. That’s when I fall…. True in yoga, true in life.

I need all of these in my brain-io.
