Fireflies

Somewhere in the darkness

there’s a glowing

that sounds buzzing to your ear

It’s a friendly little fly that lights up

its rear

It’s a very friendly firefly

that shines up the night

And when they go

they still light up the night

Da da dum

Da da dum

Da Da duhh

-Seth O’Neil’s first crack at poetry/song writing, inspired by a night walk this evening. The tune is a bit of a waltz.

That’s impressive for such a little guy (but don’t tell him I called him little)! Good job, Seth! And Michelle, I think you have two of the coolest kids I’ve ever had the pleasure of “meeting.” I mean it.

Thanks Lydia. I think so too. I’m a lucky mom.

Dang! I wish we had fireflies in this part of the country! Thanks for the poem, though, I could just about see his little rear lighting up! 😉
