Mister O.

Seth just loves cartoon books. Lately, he’s been really into the one pictured above, by Lewis Trondheim.

Mister O.

He loves it, but he hit a snag.

The page below, and a few others like it, have blood. See how the little round guy explodes and blood is spurting out? Well, that turned Riley off to the book completely. She wants no part of it.

He’s taken it upon himself to rewrite the whole page for her, minus the blood, so she might enjoy it too.

He really doesn’t mind.

Our own sweet little Mister O.

Perhaps when he’s done, she’ll take back the derogatory comment she wrote about him on Jingle’s award.

That is the sweetest, nicest thing in the entire universe. You are one lucky family.

It is so humbling when our children perform these amazing acts of love without a second thought. Their spirits can teach us so much, can’t they?

What a sweetheart of a thing to do, Seth! Big hugs to you…

Are you kidding me, with this boy??! Are you kidding me?! Please can we just set up him and G to be married, now? I will sign the contract. We can move to India, if need be, to make it all legal and stuff.

    🙂

  9. Betty says:

That is really sweet of Seth. I am in awe of how they take care of each other.

Hi, Michelle. Thanks for your too-kind comment about my poetry experiment on Lisa Romeo Writes. It’s clear from your “I love” poem that you are a much more experienced and talented poet than I.

But it seems we do have a number of other things in common. I have a special needs son who has been identified (on and off) on the autism spectrum. (Seems his unique set of issues and talents don’t lend themselves to easy labels).

I also have another son, whose name is Seth, who is a little older than your Seth, who would have tackled this kind of project, too. Maybe it’s something in the name. I’ve loved reading through your blog. Thanks.

  11. He’s such a generous soul.
