Love.

Uplifting things going around FB yesterday.

Here.

“As we are holding our brothers and sisters in prayer who were either maimed or killed in this latest act of violence, let us remember two things. One, lets allow this event to be a catalyst for the activation of compassion in our hearts & souls & learn to live in the questions of “how can I serve? & “how can I help eliminate suffering”? And two, always remember that the All-good always wins and regardless of pin pricks of violence that are experienced by many on this planet the GOOD far exceeds the appearance of evil. Life always wins! Stay prayerful! Stay Grateful! -Peace.”

  1. Yes, of course. It’s hard to maintain that level of equanimity, though. It’s really, really hard.

    Good to remember.

    Love.

  3. It’s almost impossible to maintain it Elizabeth, but we can keep going back to it. We can keep coming Home.

I love that quote. I need to keep remembering it.

So true. I was listening to NPR today and they were talking about our perceptions of fear and how they are so skewed when something like this happens. Having just been in Washington, DC and experienced the kindness of strangers and the unbounded curiosity of children, I am filled with hope. I want to be scared from time to time, but I know that when I am full of hope and love, it emanates out to heal others and that is something too important to waste on fear.

Dear Michelle, thank you for sharing that brief homily by Rev. Beckworth. It’s true I think that violence and terrorism incite fear in us. In fact, aging can bring fear with it I’ve discovered. But how much better to believe in the goodness that is the deep down inheritance of life. Peace.
